STANDING RULES

1. Officers and each committee
chairman shall submit a written report at the annual meeting.
2. The Secretary shall send
names and addresses of officers and directors and committee appointments
to the AANA Executive Office; and shall give a copy of the Association
bylaws to each new member.
3. Committee chairmen are
responsible to the Board of Directors for duties assigned. They shall
deliver Association property or records to the President or a successor
within thirty days after the annual meeting.
4. The Publications Chairman
shall send two copies of THE AIRWAY to the Secretary of the Association,
one to the AANA Executive Director, one to each AANA State President
in Region 4, one to each AANA Board of Directors member, and two to
the Historian.
5. The Finance Committee
shall determine allocation of moneys for each committee and educational
district, for the Secretarys petty cash, for flowers, for meetings,
and photo expenses for publications and the archives.
6. There shall be a $500.00
contribution to the AANA Foundation annually IN MEMORY OF deceased members,
regardless of whether any members have died that year.
7. Reimbursement regulations
for members of the Board of Directors, Continuing Education chairmen,
and delegates of the Association include:
a. Mileage allowance shall
be coach airfare or private auto with per mile allowance to be consistent
with current IRS guidelines, the total not to exceed coach airfare.
In the event that more than one person travels in the same auto, only
one member will be reimbursed.
b. Lodging expense allowed
will be standard, non-deluxe room rate or convention non-deluxe rate,
whichever is less.
c. A per diem of $75.00
per day will be allowed for all AANA meetings to cover expenses.
d. A per meeting $75.00
will be allowed for all MOANA meetings to cover expenses.
8. The necessary expenses
of the President to the annual meeting of the Association and of the
AANA shall be paid from the Treasury of the Association.
9. Students of all schools
of nurse anesthesia in Missouri shall pay a registration fee of $50.00
per meeting, which will be refunded to the student upon attendance at
the dinner meeting or workshop lecture.
10. There shall be a session
of educational presentations in conjunction with each meeting of the
Association.
11. Committee members and
delegates shall be allowed travel expenses for meetings if the one-way
distance is thirty miles or more. All members are allowed one moderate
priced meal.
12. This Association will
send the President, the President-Elect, and a Board Member Delegate
to each national meeting. In addition, the Association will send the
Federal Political Director and the Government Relations Chairman to
the Mid-Year Assembly, the Public Relations Chairman to the Annual Meeting,
and a delegate elected by the membership to the Fall Assembly. The Board
of Directors has the discretionary power to appoint an at large delegate
to any AANA meeting, concentrating on the Assembly of States and possibly
the Government Relations Workshop. This delegate should be from another
area of the state than those from which delegates to any particular
meeting have already been elected or appointed.
13. A Certified Public Accountant
shall be employed to audit the Treasurers records.
14. Smoking will not be permitted
in the clinical sessions at the workshops.
15. Expenses incurred by
committee members or delegates to meetings shall be submitted to the
Treasurer within thirty days or reimbursement will be disallowed.
16. There will be a special
column in THE AIRWAY newsletter to honor those CRNAs who lecture.
This will include a brief biography and synopsis of professional and
personal life.
17. If a committee chairman
or member does not fulfill their duties, the President may remove them
and appoint a member as a replacement.
18. Business meetings may
be taped. Tapes will be destroyed immediately after transcription.
19. Potential candidates
for vacancies on the Board of Directors must submit a nomination form,
consent form, curriculum vitae, biographical sketch and a black and
white photograph to the Nominations Committee by July 15 prior to the
annual MOANA meeting to be considered for placement on the ballot.
